University of Ottawa Heart Institute, hospital campus Expansion
This project was spread over a period of 4 years, with several phases and interventions in the existing buildings. Below is the list of the interventions:
- Installation of structures over an existing pedestrian tunnel with the adequate equipment for the usage of a tower crane, conventional crane, or forklifts to adapt to multiple restrained spaces
- Construct along existing walls by being mindful of the existing interferences
- Work in confined areas without harming the operations of the hospital
- Reinforce the existing spaces for snow loads or to hang a new footbridge with cantilever beams
- Fabricate and install an exposed structure (AESS) along the existing building
